WE are at the Mugunda Chief Camp Hall in Nyeri County, an engagement with farmers took place to discuss the Sunflower and Castor farming projects. This event aimed to inform local farmers about the opportunities presented by Mukurweini Oil Enterprises Limited’s projects, particularly in sunflower and castor contract farming.
The engagement focused on educating farmers on the benefits of cultivating these crops, including their role in improving soil fertility on degraded lands and contributing to sustainable agriculture. Farmers were briefed on how they can participate in the contract farming program, the support they would receive, including seeds, training, and extension services, and the market opportunities for sunflower oil and castor oil.
